Closure of the Harryville Branch of the Ulster Bank

Ulster Unionist North Antrim MLA Robin Swann has reacted with shock at the news of the closure of the Harryville Branch of the Ulster Bank “The decision of the Ulster Bank to close the Harryville Branch in Ballymena is a shock to everyone. My office is across the street and the branch is clearly a very popular and busy facility. Harryville has in the past lost its main Post Office and this closure represents the further erosion of basic services from the local community. I understand that there will be no further loss of jobs and that is to be welcomed however there will be a knock on effect in reducing the numbers of people who stop to do their banking and continue to shop in the local area.”
