Swann urges cash boost for pipe band scheme

Swann secures much-needed community funding

Mr Robin Swann, the North Antrim Ulster Unionist Party Assemblyman and member of the Stormont Culture and Agriculture Committees, has received a guarantee from the Sinn Fein Arts Minister that another round of Re-Imaging Communities project will be launched. Assemblyman Swann, who is also North Antrim UUP Chairman and Party Chief Whip, secured his financial guarantee following a Stormont question to the minister. Mr Swann had asked the Minister of Culture, Arts and Leisure when the next round of Re-Imaging Communities funding will be available from the Arts Council. Swann secures ‘Catch and Release’ angling pledge

Mr Robin Swann, the North Antrim Ulster Unionist Party Assemblyman and member of the Stormont Agriculture and Culture Committees, has secured a firm commitment from the Sinn Fein Culture Minister to ensure tougher ‘catch and release’ angling laws in Departmental waters. Assemblyman Swann is North Antrim UUP Association Chairman and a Past President of the Young Farmers’ Clubs of Ulster as well as Past Chairman of the influential Rural Youth Europe organisation. Mr Swann challenged the minister on the issue during oral questions in the Assembly Chamber. Swann campaigns for shared rural pitches

Mr Robin Swann, the North Antrim Ulster Unionist Party Assemblyman and member of the Stormont Agriculture and Rural Development Committee, has challenged the Sinn Fein Culture Minister to give a commitment to develop more shared facilities using artificial surfaces, especially in rural communities. Assemblyman Swann is the current North Antrim UUP Chairman, a Past Chairman of the influential Rural Youth Europe organisation, and a Past President of the Young Farmers’ Clubs of Ulster. Mr Swann, who is also UUP Sports Spokesman, issued his challenge during oral questions to the Minister in the Stormont Chamber, emphasising that he wanted to see such development pioneered in his native North Antrim constituency.
