Swann urges fairer creative industries spend
Mr Robin Swann, the North Antrim Ulster Unionist Party Assemblyman and member of the Stormont Culture, Arts and Leisure Committee, has called on the Stormont departments to “play fair” when it comes to funding the creative industries in Council areas across North and East Antrim. Assemblyman Swann, who is also North Antrim UUP Chairman and UUP Culture Spokesman, issued his challenge after recent figures revealed that North Antrim’s three councils – Ballymena, Ballymoney and Moyle – along with neighbouring East Antrim’s Carrickfergus Council receive some of the lowest creative industries investment in Northern Ireland.
