Swann calls for more bobbies on the beat

Mr Robin Swann, the North Antrim Ulster Unionist Party Assembly and Chairman of the Stormont Committee for Employment and Learning, has challenged Alliance’s Justice Minister to give the PSNI “more bobbies on the beat to combat the threat posed by pipe bombs”. Assemblyman Swann, who is also North Antrim UUP Chairman and Party Chief Whip, issued his challenge after a second bomb was discovered near his home village of Kells. A pipe bomb was found on Tildarg Road shortly before 21:00 BST on Wednesday. It was the second device to be discovered on the same road in a week. Swann urges policy to combat suicide crisis

Mr Robin Swann, the North Antrim Ulster Unionist Party Assemblyman and member of the Stormont Culture and Agriculture Committees, has called for said a multi-agency approach to be adopted to tackle the growing crisis of suicides across the Province. Assemblyman Swann, who is also North Antrim UUP Chairman and Party Chief Whip, said: “Any deaths, but especially suicides, are deeply upsetting and emotional times for people and my thoughts are with those affected by such deaths. “However, it is not good enough for any of us to stand by and do nothing. Swann praises clampdown on illegal fishing

Mr Robin Swann, the North Antrim Ulster Unionist Party Assemblyman and member of the Stormont Committees for Agriculture and Culture, has welcomed a statement by the DCAL Minister praising efforts by the Police and DCAL Inland Fisheries Officers which resulted in the recent seizure of a large amount of equipment and the dismantling of a significant illegal fishing operation on Lough Neagh. Stamp out crank call menace, urges Swann

Mr Robin Swann, the North Antrim Ulster Unionist Assemblyman and member of the Stormont Agriculture Committee, has called on the police, farming minister and wider community to help stamp out the “vile scourge of menacing and crank calls to the farming community”. Mr Swann, a past YFCU President and former Chairman of the influential Rural Youth Europe group, is the current North Antrim Ulster Unionist Association Chairman. Swann urges farmers to be vigilant

North Antrim Ulster Unionist MLA Robin Swann has called for increased vigilance amongst farmers after news of another major theft of sheep in the North Antrim area. “After news a few days ago of the largest case of sheep stealing in Northern Ireland there is now word of a further theft of 143 sheep from the Knowehead Road area of Broughshane between the 23rd and 25th July. It’s quite clear that this is an organised gang with an outlet for the sheep. I would appeal to everyone in the rural area to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity including cars acting suspiciously as undoubtedly someone scouted the location of these sheep before the actual theft.
