Swann slams Ministerial ‘snubs’

Mr Robin Swann, the Ulster Unionist Party Assembly member for North Antrim and Chairman of the Stormont Employment and Learning Committee, has branded the apparent inability of the Executive to provide ministers to support important motions in the chamber as “a blatant snub to democracy”. Assemblyman Swann, who is also North Antrim UUP Chairman and Party Chief Whip, made his remarks after lodging an official complaint with the Assembly Speaker. Visit North Antrim, Swann urges Southern tourists

Mr Robin Swann, the North Antrim Ulster Unionist Assembly member and UUP Chief Whip, has challenged both the Dublin Dail and the Stormont Executive to ensure that part of any campaigns urging Ulster people and people from the Republic to holiday in Northern Ireland should be spent encouraging those people to come to North Antrim. However, Assemblyman Swann, who is also North Antrim UUP Association Chairman, also called on the Executive to put greater emphasis on attracting tourists from Great Britain to come to the constituency. Swann calls for ‘Small Business Saturdays’

Mr Robin Swann, the Ulster Unionist Party Assembly member for North Antrim and UUP Chief Whip, has called for the Stormont Executive to introduce a series of American-style ‘Small Business Saturdays’ to kick start the local economy. Assemblyman Swann, who is also North Antrim UUP Chairman, said the plan would involve having a day dedicated to encouraging people to shop at small, local shops. Swann steps up battle to combat suicides

Mr Robin Swann, the Ulster Unionist Party Assembly member for North Antrim and UUP Chief Whip, has said the Stormont Executive “must throw its full weight behind the organisation, Surviving Our Loss After Suicide, as we step up the battle to prevent people taking their own lives”. Assemblyman Swann, who is also North Antrim UUP Chairman and Party Chief Whip, was speaking after taking part on a Stormont adjournment debate on the issue. Swann heaps praise on dog charity work for autism

Mr Robin Swann, the North Antrim Ulster Unionist Party Assemblyman and member of the Stormont Culture and Agriculture Committees, has “highly commended the sterling work being accomplished by a dogs charity to help young people and adults with autism. Assemblyman Swann, who is also North Antrim UUP Chairman and Party Chief Whip, made his remarks as he welcomed the charity group Assistance Dogs Northern Ireland to Parliament Buildings.
